675 minors fled their homes due to violence in two years: Cristosal

The anti-immigrant policies of the United States also concern human rights organizationsas claims have been made that these policies promote family separation.

The human rights foundation, Cristosal, detailed this Tuesday that between January 2016 and March 2018, 675 minors fled their homes due to reasons related to social violence. In addition, 12,221 minors dropped out of school due to alleged threats against their families.

Celia Medrano, director of Cristosal, explained that forced displacement affects the development of children.
