The families that had the courage to denounce and demand security and justice, due to the forced displacement to which they were subjected, will have in the coming weeks a resolution of the appeals presented before the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice in El Salvador (CSJ).
This was reported by Abraham Ábrego, director of Victims’ Legal Assistance of CRISTOSAL. Six of the families that addressed the Chamber will have an answer soon.
“A total of 60 affected people gathered the courage to make complaints and demand security and justice, and to advocate for the recognition of forced displacement due to violence,” he explained.
Likewise, he expressed his approval for the speed that the Constitutional Chamber has given in the admission and processing of the appeals, and thus, the hope is for the magistrates to issue their resolutions before they conclude their term.
