The annual report of the Cristosal foundation lists them as the three perpetrators of 186 families.
The gangs, the National Civil Police (PNC) and the Armed Forces of El Salvador (FAES) are listed as the three actors that forcibly displaced 701 people, conglomerated in 186 families, last year. 80% of them were threatened.
This data is obtained from the annual report that the Cristosal Foundation presented with data from its counterpart Quezalcóatl, which establishes that in 2017 there was a 53% increase in assisted cases compared to 2016.
According to the study, a person could have been a victim on several occasions by different actors. Of these cases, gangs stand out with 96.2%, followed by the authorities with 15.1%. In third place are strangers with a 7.5%, who are those people who were unidentified by the victims, and in fourth place is organized crime with 2.7%.
